Bio

Prof. Wang received her bachelor's degree (Hon) in Physics, and PhD degree in Statistics from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). She is an Associate Professor in the Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care, Faculty of Medicine, the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Prof. Wang has published over 100 research articles and is the principal investigator of multiple national and regional grants. Prof. Wang and her research group develop bioinformatics tools combining statistics, human genetics, virology and clinical sciences for better genome interpretation of human and viruses. Prof. Wang founded Beth Bioinformatics for translating knowledge towards improving vaccine antigen design, optimizing vaccine selection, and improving complex disease screening.
